history

They tried to tell us story of how it was named Culandanum. Local folks told us that their ancestors of the Tagbanua tribes that are now living in the mountain ranges of the Barangay were the first dwellers of the land.  There was once a great drought in the area and this tribe moved on to look for enough supply of water until they found this place and not just enough but plenty of supply of water. The name Culandanum says it all. It was a tribal word that is associated with the word “much water”.
