Magbabadil is located in the northern part of Aborlan, Palawan. It is 5 kilometers away from the Poblacion of Aborlan, an area of 704,280 hectares or more or less 0.77 of the entire area of the Municipality and is surrounded with five (5) Barangays of Aborlan namely Barake, Magsaysay, Cabigaan and Gogognan.

 In the year 1940, Magbabadil was known as Magbabaril because at that time whenever evil thing happens at night a certain tree will produce a gunshot sound which is a sign that someone is dying, something evil will happened and that is the reason it was called Magbabaril.

 But in year 1950 elder leaders leading the Barangay which was called Masicampo decided to beautify its name and make it Magbabadil rather than Magbabaril, because the certain tree that produces a gunshot sound loses its significance even during evil nights. From that time, Magbabaril becomes Magbabadil.
