In the year 1905, Governor Edward Miller and Masicampo Cursod negotiated to have a settlement and school at Barangay Poblacion.
In the year 1912 Barangay Poblacion was opened as a reservation for the natives, most of them are Tagbanuas. By virtue of Executive Order No. 33, series of June 25, 1912, the primary aim was “civilization” because it was then widely believed that Poblacion Aborlan was inhabited by a savage stock of tribal natives. The settlement school was opened the same year that the reservation was established in 1912.
In 1928 the farm settlement school for natives progressed and move forward on its development. It was transformed into Aborlan High School.
